THORNWILL is a Hungarian modern Heavy/Power Metal band with many different aspects including some progressive elements. In the year 2010 we have released our first album called "Implosion". The Hungarian media responded quite quickly, lot of positive feedback arrived. We have played at the Hungarian Metalfest (2010) as a first presentation of the album, and won the second prize of the competition to play as support band for a well known musician later. During the last year we got lots of invitations, interviews, radio airplays in countries ranging from United States to Greece, Argentina, Chile, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, etc. We released two video clips, a home made one, and a professional video for the track Noah’s Ark. Those videos were played on many channels, like MTV, 1Likes Rock, Hungarian Rock Television, Duna TV, Phoenix TV, and some more. We have played lots of shows including the Hungarian Metalfest (2011). We have now plans to release a new album in 2011, or early 2012, we will release a new music video for one of the track on the upcoming album this autumn. We are also creating a cartoon/comics style video clip for the title track of the next album. The picture in the middle of this text is the new band logo and sign for the upcoming album: Requiem For A Fool. Greatest news of the year 2011 is that we signed an endorser contract with Paiste!
About Implosion: The album "Implosion" contains thirteen tracks. Almost each song has emotional content, with very deep feelings behind. We like Savatage, Dream Theater, Rage, Nevermore, Pantera, Metallica from the old days, so the music bears the marks of those performers, but it is also very different. The album is free to download at our homepage, or it is available on many different community sites. "Implosion" is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution license, so anybody can present, play, or use the music, if the original artist is noted. It was even used as the music of an XBox Live Arcade game, and there are many video on Youtube already using our songs as a backing track.
